Dallas Meeting - Mar. 6
The Dallas members enjoyed some good barbeque and FileMaker stuff at the March 6th meeting. Â After Kirk went over the schedule for the next few months, he turned the meeting over to Taylor Sharpe.
Taylor brought a presentation on the concept of Web Scraping. Â It was very interesting in that you transfer the underlying html source code from a web page into a field in your FM solution and then use it in whatever way you desire. Â Particularly useful when you regularly look up information from a web page and until now you have been copying and pasting or re-typing the data. Â Thats old school. Â Web Scraping is new school!
